My name is Ron Maggio. I am a Certified General Contractor in the State of Florida and the qualifier of PRIZM Construction. Since 2002, I have qualified more than 200 new construction projects totaling over $35,000,000. I worked on both the east and west coasts of Florida in Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Sarasota, and Charlotte counties.
My experience leading up until obtaining my qualification as a general contractor started in high school in the mid 90s, working for my father’s then new home building business. My father threw me right into the fire and I started operating heavy equipment and forming concrete to develop hands-on expertise, about the time I could drive a car. My father’s brother joined our company soon after and his background in trade negotiations became the backbone of our cost controls. He showed me everything he knew As my father grew his business, I spent years in project management, purchasing, finance, and customer service before I became the qualifier of what was to become the largest division of the company. I have a strong visual mind for design details and engineering. I thoroughly enjoy interactions with my clients and their architects. In recent years, the possibilities have become exciting with new materials and methods – but still certain aspects of running a construction business will never change.
I received my formal education through the M.E. Rinker School of Construction Management at the University of Florida in 1999. My last 2 years of school drew me down to Palm Beach county as I was actively involved in construction businesses. I graduated with a dual major in Finance and Management from Florida Atlantic University. I hold a real estate license in the state of Florida and my specialty here is in helping my clients find raw land.
There is nothing inherently wrong with companies running many projects simultaneously – surely it thrilled me to have a large staff when I wore a younger man’s clothes…But today, you get a relationship with PRIZM Construction. Better said by Bob Seager – I don’t want you to feel like a number!
